2016 CONSULTATION

- DEVELOPMENT GROUP FOR ASSYNT

THE PROCESS WHICH LED TO THE CURRENT MODEL OF ASSYNT DEVELOPMENT TRUST

In 2016, David Slator, chair of the Assynt Community Council, called together a public consultation on the need for a Development Trust for Assynt.  The consultation involved meetings in Drumbeg, Elphin, Kylesku, Lochinver, and Stoer, followed by a questionnaire that canvased 4.3% of the population.  The response from the consultation was that the majority of the consulted residents approved the idea of a development trust for Assynt.

David Slator published a report on the consultation in the Assynt News.  Download that report here.
